Veaper

A simple tool to convert Resolve Da Vinci AAF files into Reaper projects

This guide will walk you through the steps to install and use Veaper effectively. Veaper tranforms an AFF project exported from Da Vinci into a Reaper project.

Usage

After installation, follow these steps to export an AAF file from DaVinci Resolve and process it with Veaper:

  1. Go to the Deliver tab
  2. Choose to Render the Entire Timeline
  3. Click on Render Settings and use the slider to navigate to the AVID AAF tab
  4. Click on Browse to select the hard drive and folder you want to render to
  5. Name your new folder and click OK
  6. Make sure you select the newly created folder and click OK
  7. In the Video tab, uncheck Export Video
  8. Click on the Audio tab
  9. Check the box for "Export Audio"
  10. Choose Linear PCM
  11. Click on Add to Render Queue
  12. Choose to Start Render once the job has been added to the render queue

After rendering the AAF and MXF files into the same folder, launch Veaper and select the AAF file. Veaper will automatically detect and use the associated MXF files to generate a Reaper project.
