iPhone Orchestra is back

Next Saturday, the 27 of February, i’ll be conducting an iPhone Orchestra along with my friend Rui Penha at Casa da Música. Feel free to come… We provide you with the iPhones (but you cannot take them home…)
Damage: 5 euros

workshop SuperCollider

On the 13th, 14th and 15th of February, at Casa da Música, i’ll be conducting a Workshop Introducing SuperCollider.

SuperCollider is an environment and programming language for real time audio synthesis and algorithmic composition. It provides an interpreted object-oriented language which functions as a network client to a state of the art, realtime sound synthesis server.

SuperCollider was written by James McCartney over a period of many years, and is now an open source (GPL) project maintained and developed by various people. It is used by musicians, scientists, and artists working with sound.

Damage: 15 euros.

Breu Premier!

This next Tuesday, the 18th of January, in Lisbon at the Festival ShortCutz, Breu is going to be premiered!
Breu is a short movie directed Jerónimo Rocha. I composed the music for it.

Next Friday i’ll be conducting the ensemble 343. This ensemble is formed by composition students of ESMAE and i’m the artistic director! It is an ensemble that will be based on laptops but not exclusively. For this concert we will be making music in real-time for the movie “The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari”.
It will be part of a cinema conference held in Porto.
The concert starts at 21:45 in Passos Manuel.
Damage: 7,5 euros.
